Review: Huda Beauty Nude Palette

During the VIB Rouge sell a few weeks ago, I found my way into my local Sephora to see what I could find. How could I turn down $25.00 off of a $75.00 or more purchase? There was no way I could. I swatched a few shades but they just seems to similar.

After weeks of staring at the new Huda Beauty Nude Palette on my Sephora app and seeing looks using it all over IG, I still was not ready to splurge to see what the hype was all about for myself. I mean seriously, the palette retails for $65. I just wasn’t sure that I NEEDED it in my collection. So I passed that time and grabbed a few other things. However, when I finally got home, I looked up a few looks on YouTube and decided I was going to order the palette.

It is a gorgeous looking palette. I love that you get a variety of mattes including a few transition shades, pressed glitters, shimmer shades, and a concealer to make the shadows pop. The fact that is has a mirror makes it very practical in book.

Swatches

While the palette is beautiful, I feel like I absolutely did not need it. The color are very similar and this, to me, doesn’t represent what I think of when I hear “nude”. To me, the palette seems to be more of a pink or rose gold palette. The mattes are highly pigmented but the pressed glitters are a little hard to work with.  There was really only one shade that wowed me, Charmed. I am going to play around with the it some more but I would say that unless you are a collector, super fan, or have $65 bucks burning a hole in your pocket, that you can most certainly skip this one.
